Some of you or your members may have received an email that appears to be from the Ohio Credit Union System asking you to verify credit union and member account information. This email IS NOT from OCUS. Please do not submit any information, as this is a phishing attempt.
Below is a copy of the email received by some League members, credit union members, and other customers. Please inform your staff and membership of this fraud attempt.

This security method is intended to help you protect yourself and your accounts from internet fraud. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by our online servers, but we require you to update your profile as soon as possible by clicking on the following link:
By completing our online form your are in accordance with our Terms of Agreement and your online access will be continued as normal. Thank you for taking your time!

It is important to note that OCUS does not use this means to verify a member’s online credentials nor request that members login to update their identifying information. Additionally, please be aware that a number of phishing attempts of this type have occurred recently nationwide. Articles appearing in CUNA News Now on November 12th and 15th reference phishing attempts and provide information on how to recognize email attempts as fraud.
